My new novel is up for pre-order!
Signs of Life: The Final Chapter?
Portland Police Investigator Wayne Deetz is a mere three weeks from retirement. It’s almost Christmas, and his son, Brandon, is getting married. But when Brandon’s fiancée, Kristen, is confronted by a figure from her shadowy past, their joyous plans take a dark turn.
As Deetz trains his gruff and unpredictable replacement, Howard Googan, they delve into a disturbing missing-person case that hits closer to home with each new piece of evidence.
Meanwhile, unsettling events plague the Deetz household. Personal belongings vanish. Cryptic gifts appear. And a distressing discovery makes one thing terrifyingly clear—someone is watching. And listening.
As chilling “coincidences” and brazen encounters escalate, Deetz and his loved ones must unravel the truth before it’s too late. Who are the mysterious neighbors lurking next door? And what twisted endgame are they playing?

Life around here lately . . .
This is my new favorite screenshot! We got together with Asher and family recently on the west side of Atlanta near the Chattahoochee River. Look at that little man!
My oldest daughter, Abigail, told me her husband, Ravi, who has his own physical therapy practice called The ACL Athlete, fell in love with a piece of artwork that provided a detailed view of the leg and its various parts. She sent me a photograph of the piece and asked if I could recreate something like it as a gift for Ravi’s birthday. Below is the ink and watercolor painting I created. They were pleased and it brought me much joy.
I had the privilege of meeting up with some dear friends recently whom I worked with for more than three decades, beginning when I first moved to Atlanta in 1986. These are the true Mad Men of advertising, from left to right: Rich Fleming, Steve Parker, me, and Ross Lenhart.
